Invision Community 4: How to Update the CleanTalk Anti-Spam Plugin
IPS 4.5.4 and higher, Anti-Spam 2.0.0 and higher.
1. Delete the old version of Anti-Spam
If you use a version lower than 2.0.0 go to System —> Plugins". Find "Anti-Spam by CleanTalk" and choose "Uninstall" from the drop-down list
If you use version 2.0.0 and higher go to System —> Applications". Find "Anti-Spam by CleanTalk" and choose "Uninstall" from the drop-down list
2. Download the .tar file at the top of this guide.
3. Go to "System —> Applications" and press the button "manual upload".
4. Choose downloaded tar-file and press the button "Install".
5. Open CleanTalk application options by pressing the "Settings" button in the message at the top of the page. You can also find settings here: "Community —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk"
6. Copy the access key from your CleanTalk Dashboard and paste it in the field "Access key", turn the plugin's options on and press the button "Save".

- Download the XML-file (Right Mouse Button — "Save object as...") from CleanTalk (the link is at the beginning of this page or use the link given to you personally), place it in "/plugins".
- Go back to System —> Plugins and press the button "Install New Plugin".
- Choose the downloaded XML-file from "/plugins", press the button "Install".
- After finishing the installation click the pencil symbol opposite the "CleanTalk Spam protect" line.
- Setup the plugin, make sure that the access key matches the key from your CleanTalk Dashboard. Then press the button "Save".
- (Optional) Test the protection by making a registration using the blacklisted e-mail stop_email@example.com.
Congratulations. The Anti-Spam is updated!
